Who is Kristen?

Kristen Downard is a Virginia Tech junior studying public relations and business leadership. Kristen has served as a Virginia Tech cheerleader for three years, now. She is a VPI on the spirit squad, meaning she represents the school at various appearances.

Kristen is from southern West Virginia and recently moved to Virginia. She plans to continue writing while attending graduate school.

Kristen holds the position of historian of Alpha Phi sorority. She is a student intern for the Virginia Tech football recruitment office. She writes articles weekly for the Odyssey Online reaching over 3.2k article shares.

On free time, Kristen volunteers at PetSmart working with the kittens up for adoption. She also paints, dances, and works at a gymnastics center teaching preschool age and up.

Kristen is passionate about writing, teaching, sports, media, and animals. She plans to continue cheering for professional teams after graduation and attend school to become a counselor for an elementary school.
